What is a Watershed Action Plan (WAP)?

A WAP is a collaborative/systematic analysis of a specific land drainage area (watershed), that determines the causes & sources of water pollution/impairment and compiles this information into a "living document" that recommends strategies to reduce those pollutant loads

We have done this before!

What is the benefit?

EVERY RESIDENT within the Southern Subwatershed has the potential to benefit from the implementation of this plan!

Once the plan is FULLY endorsed by the state of Ohio, FLMR & our PARTNERS will be able to access funds that are not normally accessible without a watershed plan, from the USEPA, Ohio EPA and Ohio DNR.

The overall purpose of this plan is to "restore, protect and maintain the chemical, physical and biological integrity" of this watershed so that all resident's can safely enjoy its resources for generations to come!
